J. Gordon Faylor is a New York-based author whose notable works include Phone and Pencil, Antoecians, and Registration Caspar, among others. From 2010 to 2022, Faylor ran the groundbreaking Gauss PDF, a publisher of digital and print works that served as the very foundation upon which Cosmic Trattoria and Primordial Void were built. In addition to being an influential web-based publisher, Gauss PDF released works by Christian Oldham, Sean Tatol, Becca Abbe, Kieran Daly, and Marc Matchak, among nearly 300 other boundary-pushing artists.
Today, we are excited to present Guardian Buds, a new mix by Faylor that follows a string of releases via his own Smiling Mind imprint. “I consider this a mix for spring,” says Faylor. “Its title comes from a Lyn Hejinian poem she wrote around this time of year in the late '80s.” Listen to it below, and find the complete tracklist after the jump. — Marcel Sletten
